Coaching
Individual and group coaching has become a more popular development intervention, as managers are keen to maximise the time they invest in their growth and the learning of their teams. Coaching can work at an individual or group level. Some managers use the process as a journey to develop self awareness, confidence and key skiils, whilst others use it on a tactical basis to address and resolve specific issues.
Examples of previous coaching programmes/sessions include:
" she needs to develop her self awareness, and build her confidence particularly in meetings, when she needs to be more assertive at times."
" he has great potential but needs to improve his image in the company and convince others of his potential"
"he is new to the leadership team and needs to learn quickly and build his role"
"I'm told I'm coming across as disorganised and unproductive and I need to do something about it"
"I've got a new project/team/role and I'm not sure where to start"
Whatever the need we can discuss the best approach, be it a strucutred coaching programme over several months or a one off session. Typically coaching programmes will involve completing a set of psychometrics to develop self awareness and help to identify development goals.
